Acer’s ConceptD range of devices feature premium hardware and a range useful features, designed to meet the exacting standards required for professional visual workloads, such as CAD, 3D & 3D modelling, photo & video editing and much more. The CP5271UV monitor embodies this with stunning HDR visuals, fast refresh rate and great colour accuracy all displayed in Quad HD resolution.
The CP5271UV is VESA DisplayHDR 600 certified, making it an ideal choice for displaying HDR content, thanks to its wide colour gamut, enhanced contrast and improved brightness. HDR support is an integral part of video editing and VESA’s DisplayHDR 600 standard elevates the CP5271UV above a large number of other HDR monitors. An integral aspect of HDR support is the ability to display a wide range of colours and the CP5271UV excels in this area, as it is capable of displaying over 1 billion different colours for more lifelike visuals. It also covers 99% of the Adobe RGB colour gamut, which is a standard used in professional graphics work.
Colour accuracy is another vital aspect of graphic design work – having the confidence that the colour you see on the screen is the same colour that everyone else will see or that will be printed or otherwise reproduced. To this end, the CP5271UV meets a variety of rigorous standards for colour accuracy. In addition to being a Pantone Validated display with support for the Pantone Matching System, the CP5271UV has a Delta E value of <1, which means that colour variation is imperceptible to the human eye.
The 1440p Quad HD resolution of the CP5271UV offers a significant increase in detail compared to a ‘standard’ Full HD monitor. This extra detail is ideal for photo editing and other graphics work that involves fine detail.
The CP5271UV's 144Hz refresh rate can be overclocked to 170Hz when you need the very best performance. Combined with the 1ms response time, this makes the CP5271UV a great choice for video editing – ensuring that even high-speed action scenes will appear smooth and clear, without juddering, smearing or ghosting. The CP5271UV is also Nvidia G-SYNC Compatible, which means that when used with computers equipped with compatible Nvidia GPUs, the refresh rate of the monitor is automatically matched to the framerate of the graphics card, helping to eliminate tearing and other distracting visual artefacts.
Working at a PC for extended periods of time can be an uncomfortable experience and, in extreme cases, can even cause eye strain, physical pain, fatigue and other issues. To help minimise this, the CP5271UV is equipped with a range of features designed to make using it a more comfortable experience. Equipped with Acer’s Ergostand, the CP5271UV features a wide range of adjustment options so that you can find the best angle to view it from, for maximum ergonomic comfort. This includes 40° of tilt adjustment, 360° of swivel and 180mm of height adjustment, plus the option of pivoting the display 90° to be able to use it in portrait mode. The CP5271UV also comes with an optional monitor hood which can help to reduce distracting glare, along with an integrated ambient light sensor which automatically adjusts the monitor brightness based on the ambient levels – both of which can help to reduce eye strain.
Lastly, the CP5271UV features a full range of connectivity options, including HDMI and DisplayPorts, as well as an integrated USB 3.0 hub. It’s also equipped with a USB-C port, which allows you to use a single cable to connect to a PC or laptop that will handle all your needs – transferring data for the USB hub, a display connection for the screen itself and even providing up to 65W of power to charge compatible laptops.
The CP5271UV is an excellent choice of monitor for a wide range of professional graphic design, editing or modelling workloads.
